Our Head Office is located in the Tourist Capital Of Africa - Cape Town - South Africa. The members and management are highly experienced in the Tourism Sector. Our expertise being 30 years of Tourism / Marketing and 15 years of Safari Management & Coordination of safaris into the wilderness of Africa.

The Scheduled Safaris

We conduct adventure safaris off the beaten track in areas of Southern Africa, into which commercial tourists are not able to go. We journey through remote areas in the countries we visit: Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Swaziland, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Our Itineraries are proven 4x4 expedition style routes, where you might find yourself alone – far from civilization and the pollution of mankind. Our focus is a small group concept, allowing a maximum of 8 participants per touring group. This enhances the experience and allows for a very personal experience for all. The programs are not five star, but participation safaris and your help with all general camp duties will be appreciated, thus creating a sense of team spirit and promoting group interaction. The safari experience is one of team building and group bonding. Our safari programs cover a maximum of highlights on the chosen routes in the countries we pass through. We also pride ourselves in including most adventure activities in our price. This gives the whole group the chance to be included and not to segregate those who cannot afford the options.
Outback Africa Safaris imposes no age limit on our departures, as we feel that the right attitude, an open mind, flexibility and team spirit are far more important. Clients with a strong individualistic attitude will find this type of participation safari unpleasant and not suitable for their vacation requirements.

The Guides

Our Tour Leaders are highly respected in the safari industry in Southern Africa. They are highly qualified, and their experience, professionalism, interpersonal skills and their ability to communicate and educate clients in the ways of Africa will enhance your safari experience. They are registered with the necessary guiding authorities, and as such, are qualified to Guide the Outback Africa Safari routes.
In extreme remote areas of Botswana, Namibia and Zambia we utilize local guides to assist us in our quest to enhance your African Experience.

Vehicles and Equipment

Upon arrival each Client will receive an Outback Africa Safari Welcome Pack.
Outback Africa Safaris will strive to make the least possible impact in the areas through which we safari, yet we do not compromise on safety and mobility. We endeavor to create an environmental awareness on our safaris, as our continent is very precious to us. The company will refrain from utilizing heavy vehicles and we select smaller 4x4 Land Rovers. These vehicles and trailers are especially designed for our company. The Land Rover is not an air- conditioned tour bus; it is designed for African safari conditions. Mobility and group size differentiates this company from the opposition.

The Accommodation

Both safari modules utilize Fixed and Tented accommodation. Should you choose fixed accommodation you will be staying in Bungalows / Cottages / Guest House / Lodges & Hotels. You will be expected to stay out in the wilds on days where no facilities exist. When opting for the camping option, canvass adventure bow tents with mosquito netting are used.
We facilitate fixed accommodation on certain nights to spruce up and eat out.
Please note that clients are able to upgrade into fixed accommodation should they wish to do so – dependant on availability. Insulation mats are issued to sleep on and Director's chairs with backrests are supplied enabling our clients to sit back, relax and enjoy the days end at a camp fire. A comprehensive safari kitchen is part of every safari and a variety of dishes are prepared such as pastas, barbeques, roasts, curries, stews, stir fries, fish, and regional African cuisine. Eskimo cooler boxes with ice are provided to keep refreshments cool.

Mozambique and Beyond

A safari of sunrises, of unchartered waters, virgin beaches and lone palm trees. Of majestic rivers and waterfalls. We find that on these deserted white beaches we are able to make friends with someone we have known all our lives, ourselves. It is a safari for the romantic - moonlit beaches, ceilings of stars and carpets of sand.

West Coast Kalahari Safari

A safari into an area of vastness, often ignored and forgotten, a destination of fantastic landscape and contrast, of mirages and silence. A short, but comprehensive tour through the prodigal. The Kalahari seldom disappoints, it is a special desert.

Transfrontier Desert Adventure

Pure 4x4 adventure. Unexplored, desolate and uncivilized. Two Transfrontier areas of majestic contrast, of mountains and deserts. Of rock and sand. Of exhilaration and challenge. We endeavour to make this safari the ultimate off road adventure, where Land Rovers are blooded, where they come of age. An extinct habitat, water is gold, shade a luxury. The moon always shines full, and the sun relentless.

Cape Kalahari Okavango Expedition

The Ultimate Safari, hauntingly desolate and totally uncommercialized. We are alone in our Africa here, with only nature as our companion. But that is exactly why we are here, and we do not intend sharing the experiences with everyone. Open spaces, vast sects of virgin Africa with its natural inhabitants. We go back in time to a period of San Culture, herds of wild animals and distant horizons. Will we ever be able to face civilization once more?

Kaokoveld and Okavango Expedition

An African safari into the wilderness of Namibia: Sossousvlei, Koakoveld, Kunene River and the Epupa Falls. The wilderness of Botswana: Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. The Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Wildlife & Culture of a bygone era, found as it was before we arrived. We cherish the Last Frontier as we find it, for the sands of time are running out.

Garden Karoo Expedition

An epic safari from the Cape of Storms with its wild and enticingly seas with breathtaking views. Natural coastal gardens. View Whales from distances never imagined, the oyster catcher, Elephant and zebra, various antelope species. Experience the silent and majestic plateaus and mesa's of the Karoo rising up into the red horizon at sunset.
